About

Claudia Heyde, Attorney at Law

While going through my own divorce, my attorney kept telling me I should go to law school. So, I did. During law school, I volunteered for Legal Aid of Sonoma County, the Family Law Clinic and the Immigration Law Clinic assisting victims of domestic violence and violent crimes in obtaining domestic violence restraining orders and U-Visas. I enjoyed helping people in crisis and decided that I wanted to be a Family Lawyer. Going to law school as a single parent with a small child was not an easy feat, however, I graduated law school with honors among the top of my class and passed the 3-day California Bar Exam the first time.

I opened my own Law Office and then was recruited by a Family Law Firm in Santa Rosa, where I handled all aspects of divorce and family law cases. I also assisted a number of local lawyers with litigating Family Law, Immigration, Wills and Trusts and Real Property matters. Before attending law school, I worked for several International companies in Europe and after immigrating to the U.S., I worked as a Realtor in California for Frank Howard Allen Realtors for 11 years. My background in business and the knowledge I gained selling real estate has been invaluable in running a law firm and in handling cases involving complex real property issues.

No matter what your situation, at Heyde Family Law you can rest assured that your interests will be well represented and that your case will receive the attention it deserves. My team is prepared to handle anything from a simple uncontested divorce settlement to the most complex cases and trial.
